So whether you're a student living away or at home, there's always a moment when you get hungry and you need something NOW

And there's always like only 3 things in the fridge :(

I'd like to know your ideas on typical quick student foods?

And also the weirdest things you've ever put together! :P

Mine are probably tins of sweetcorn, the chippy, toast and cooking whatever is in the fridge in a pateela.

I don't trust the chippy by Aston! I went to that Chicken Hut once and it tasted a bit ughh.

That's so true - but don't u find moms more likely to cook loads for the SONS rather than the DAUGHTERS!!!!

I reckon all rents expect girls to be able to cook more than guys anyway! Whenever my bro goes away to work somewhere else in the UK for a week.. mom packs him enough food for 10 people!!

GUYS YOU ARE SPOILT BRATS! :P *rant over*

So I got hungry.

And as usual, there's hardly anything in the fridge (which explains why I'm always goin on about food on here, cos I can never find something to eat!)

All I could see was Aloo methi.. bread.. cereal.

I already had toast this morning :(

SO I MADE AN ALOO METHI TOASTED SANDWICH!! B)

IT WAS NICEEEEEEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeee......

But there was no salad to go in the sandwich :( So I just had some slices of cucumbers in there..

IT WAS NICE!! Trust me.. u need to try it :)

well theres always one thing that i can add to this topic.. its more on a serious note.. guys we always have so much food and lots of different dishes prepared.. sometimes so many that we cant eat or even try them and usually end up throwing away...It goes to show when u are in a situation such as many of you are i.e students living away from home u tend to appreciate food more especially when you raid the fridge and theres nothing there.

Takes you back to mummys house doesnt it when good old mums always been there and been telling you to finish up and giving you long lectures about what it would be like if we was living in the many third world countries and saying how fortunate we are that we are not living amongst those people. :(

for the gals.. miss S have u learnt how to cook yet? do u know u can do so much with one potato, half a tomato and half an onion all u need is to nick some of your mums spices hehe. you wudn need to mix tins of sweetcorn and other things togetha cus you will be able to prepare one dish dat everyone makes in an emergency aloo curry hehe.

Things you can cook in 10 mins.. cooking lessons are going to be starting soon here.. sign up for it it miss S ill teach ya hehe!! :D

Awwww ur super sweet girly!! Mwahz!

I can cook, I'm just too lazy at the moment to cook for myself! I'm too cranky and impatient to make normal dhaal roti sabji, or even pasta takes too long! (I got SO much other stuff to do!)

Ahem, I have to add this in, I'm a rather brilliant cook if I don't say so myself, I'm known for it in my family! 8) We should both cook a feast together sometime :P Lol!

Ok back to university food, or should I say exam-time supplements. I did an all-nighter last night to revise for my exam this morning.. how did I stay awake?

1 Sandwich
3 strong cappaccinos
2 strong coffees
1 strong tea

Not all at once of course, but whoa that caffeine put me in laughing fits @ 7am in the morning! :P

I swear, if you're not a caffeine drinker and u suddenly go to uni.. then you'll become one!

I can't wait to start back at uni now.. mmmmhh cafe lago chocolate expressos 8)

:P
